Planet X2 for the Commodore 64 – see here for details!
Planet X2 is a fully-developed real-time-strategy game for the Commodore 64. It’s been a year in the making. It is now finally available for purchase in my webstore.
Over the years I have written a number of software items for various 8-bit computers. Most of these are available for free download here on this page:
Planet X1 for the Commodore VIC-20
This is a real-time strategy game I wrote for the Commodore VIC-20 some years ago. Â It does require a 32K RAM expander, so most people will have to use an emulator. Â The game was never completed, but it is in a playable stage. Â If you choose to “load map” it currently only loads a single map, which I created. Â press the “G” key to activate GPS.

Petdraw for the Commodore 64, Plus/4, C-16, PET 8032 and 4032.
Petdraw is a program that I wrote for several different Commodore machines that allows the creation of PETSCII graphics, which of course are graphics limited to the internal character set of the machine as well as the screen color limitations. However, it is amazing some of the things you can draw when you put your mind to it.

53Columns for the Commodore 64
This was just a proof-of-concept showing that you can get 53 columns of clear text on a C64 using the bit-mapped graphics mode. Â Similar programs have been done before showing 80 columns, but it is hard to read.

Sidkeys for the Commodore 64
This is also a proof of concept that was never finished. Â It allows using the incredible musical keyboard (or just the built-in keyboard) to play music and manipulate the settings on the SID chip.

BASIC Tetris
This was just a fun experiment I did to see if I could make a functional version of Tetris on the Commodore 64 running entirely in BASIC without any machine language routines and without compiling it. Â Enjoy! Download here:Â basictetris
Tetris for Color Maximite
Many people have asked for a copy of the Tetris program I wrote for the Color Maximite. I have included a link here, this version has been modified by Daedan Bamkin to add a few extra features. You can download it here: Maximite TETRIS
Looking for the BASIC source code for attaching an NES controller or PC joystick to your Commodore 64, you can download it here: controllers.zip
